Why didn't you put it in a REVIEW? Then people can see it and decide where to eat!!
Last 3 times I went my food would be cold when I got it. Will not be back.
Crying shame cause this is my go to spot when I travel to Jacksonville. Hope they get it straightened out. Been going there since 1976.
Of course, how else would you prepare it? You're in the South, ya know.

Great food friendly employees
Stopped in for a meal, but ended up having a Great relaxing Dinner!! I didn't have to wait long, and I was served exactly what ordered!! Hope to dine at this location again, soon!! Thanks..
Me and my husband enjoyed our breakfast it was good and very friendly and the waitress was nice
Not good. The food was cold. The meat loaf was hard, like it was old. Went in with my elderly aunt, she wanted Famous Amos resteraunt. I sat and delt with it to make her happy. Service was better than the food. I do remember the days when they where excellent, those days are gone, I guess.
Day crew ugg I ordered turkey and dressing. The dressing tasted kind of odd but I went ahead and ate some of it. Now I'm paying for it. The new kitchen crew sucks eggs not cooked right hash browns burnt. someone needs to teach the daytime crew how to be like the nighttime crew everything is delicious in the evening
The only reason they get 2 stars is because the waitress was new. She tried just wasnt getting much guidance with her job. Now the food..... If I could give zero stars I would. Side salad-garbage don't waste the extra money. The boneless breast over rice was microwaved because the rice was almost soupy. The mac and cheese was reheated in the microwave. The chicken gizzards were as chewy as a piece of leather and the breading was over cooked and burnt. You would be better off eating from the gas station.
We just had lunch there today and it was really good! Service pleasant and attentive. Sandwiches were first rate. I had the Reuben , great thick cuts of corned beef and my husband had the turkey club combo...thick slices of white neat turkey! French fries and onion rings were done right, too.Waitress was Pat and she was great!
Ordered the chicken gizzards and they tasted like they were very old to the point of being spoiled, have had them here before and they were fine but not this last time.
Slow and overcharged on food also server wasnt always checking
Omg this is a Normandy Blvd staple! I haven't been here in years. The staff is amazingly friendly. Prompt service, clean environment, and great food with that home cooked feel. I will be returning my next day off to have breakfast again!
Absolutely the best breakfast in town any time of the day! Always great service and food. Have never been disappointed.
It was my first time going here and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The highest price I remember seeing was $14. The food was in smaller portions than I expected but it was good and it was still really good. I would recommend it for some good southern food for a reasonable price.
It's been long times and went to Famous Amos Restaurant since 1988 and wow still keep busy at Famous Amos Restaurant and looks the same and nothing change .. The foods were delicious.....
Been coming here for as long as i can remember, good ole country cooking amd home like surroundings
The food was good but the waitress was a little ditzy. People who came in after us got their food before us
Stop tender this Famous Amos on yesterday 7/16/19 I had a little late Lunch Dinner Kind of Thing. The Food Was Absolutely Outstanding The Service From My Server JoannTop Shelf The Atmosphere was Great Comfortable I Really Enjoyed The visit & will be Back Again✌ Country Fried Steak Mashed Potatoes Greens Fried Squash & Real Cornbread Yummilicious✌
Excellent, amazing homemade food. Great service.
It was good Had no problems at all Yes Iwe are going again
This is a Family Treat. My family has been coming here for years, maybe not this location, but the Famous Amos chain. The people here are amazing, customer service is off the charts. Craig, our server, super nice, very fast (that's a good thing!) And always asking if we need anything. He made sure our orders were correct. Everything here is amazing. The food was amazing. The atmosphere here is calm and peaceful. Truly a great place to eat, and relax. I wish I could give more than 5 Stars. Craig, you deserve 10 Stars. Keep up the good work!
Over crowded. Food was not that good. Service was ok!
One of my mom's favorite places when I take her to the doctors.
Great home cooked meals.
Not impressed with the new owners or managers at this location. The grilled fish came out so salty and over baked , the extra charge for salad as a side was ridiculous( it was just lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes) . My husband's chuck roast and gravy was even over salted. They took 15 minutes just to get us drinks then another 30 for the food. Not ever returning there . They took the fish dinner off the ticket but the manager neither the waitress apologized for anything . I understand they were short handed with waitresses but the manager should have come and spoke to us.
I've eaten in these restaurants for over 45 years and miss the ones that have closed over the years. The food and staff are great. Never been disappointed, for great Southern comfort food. Love their fresh biscuits and coffee, your mouth watering yet. Come in and get the best meals in town. Ya'll come back now. Yee haw!
Based on one take out meal - don't eat here. This was the worst meal I have ever paid for. The mashed potatoes and fried squash were just inedible. The side salad is lettuce and cukes. OK but really? The fried chicken livers are OK the gravy is inedible. I'm shocked. How do you make mashed potatoes THAT awful?
The food is nasty i hope the owner will get a new manager and cook for the last 2 months the the restaurant has really went down hill. On a good note our waitress is amazing Granny has the sweetest soul.
Stopped there in our way to NC. The food was OK the service was good our waitress was very sweet.
This place is awesome and the food is very affordable
Always good. Good Southern food.
I've been to this location multiple times and overall have had good experiences. There are always a ton of choices for both your main course and your sides. Service is great as well and the prices are very reasonable.
Servers are very nice. Coffee was horrible. Food was just so-so.
Food was great. Employees wore masks the entire time. They were courteous and very efficient. I had the baked chicken with dressing and gravy and cranberry sauce. You got two sides but I only chose one - potato salad. It was the BEST potato salad. Biscuits straight out of the oven. I can't wait to go back!
My first time, great menu, different sized portions. The servings were big. I took home half for my supper, great service, helpful and professional, good prices
FOOD: excellent... STAFF: very courteous, professional ESTABLISHMENT: best in town.
Great food like old fashion way. Cooked delicious. Friendly staff.
Great attention. Good food. Thx !!!
Pics do not do justice but food was excellent. Service was painful. Staff was nice but seriously overwhelmed. Do not come here if in a hurry
The best Rueben I've had in a while!
Great food and even better service. Only downside was a very slim dessert menu
Their food is always great! And their cobblers and bread pudding are fantastic!! I eat at this location at least once a week.
Our party of 4 waited to long for service! The table next to us was vacated, cleaned, then 4 more persons were seated, their orders taken, their food made and set on their table, they ate and left while we still waited. This tends to drive people away rather than to come again!
Famous Amos used to be such a good place to eat. Sadly, it has gone downhill. Still a good breakfast but as far as the other "Southern" cooked foods, it is a waste of time to go eat there. I had the chicken fried steak, it was much overcooked and black...like it was cooked yesterday and warmed up in the deepfryer. Fried squash was more crust than squash. , biscuits were cold and the cornbread lacked an ingredient....they were flat like a pancake! Very disapointing the last few times we have eaten there. I will order only breakfast from now on...if we even go again. So sad Famous Amos has become so bad.
I love this place so much. I can’t believe I just found this restaurant. The older servers are adorable and give off a cozy, welcoming feeling. I had granny the first time and she was so sweet. The food prices are crazy cheap and the food is delicious!
Awesome waitress! So sorry I forgot her name. Food was amazing and filling. Best time I have ever had at any Amos location. My son says its his new favorite place and he wants pancakes everyday. Thank you
The food was hot, fresh, delicious! The wait staff was helpful, friendly, and prompt.
I love this place! I swear it was the best fried squash I've had.
Old school feel and great country cooking.
The sign outside said under new manager and servers. My family and I decided to give them a try. They weren't that busy but only had 2 people on the floor. The younger lady did absolutely nothing. While the older woman ran her butt off. We waited forever to get our order taken. Then the food was cold when we got it. I felt sorry for the woman who was running her butt off. The other girl that was half her age was just wondering around wiping off tables. I was not impressed but we made sure that the little older woman got a good tip. It's not her fault that she couldn't get any help. She literally was waiting on every table in the restaurant.
We had an issue previously. New management took care of me and the food tasted so much better than before. Thanks to new mgmt keep up the great job.
Food is always good... normally peaceful atmosphere.
